Minnesota Training Partnership (MTP) is part of a statewide initiative to ensure workers understand their rights and can fully access Minnesota’s new Paid Leave program. We are partnering with unions, community organizations, and labor leaders across Minnesota to deliver clear information, trusted guidance, and hands-on support to workers, especially those who have historically faced barriers to accessing benefits. Through this work, we are helping build a stronger, more informed workforce so every worker can take the time they need to care for themselves and their families without sacrificing their economic security.
Information about Minnesota's Paid Leave program is AVAILABLE HERE

MTP is convening a Paid Leave Equity Advisory Group to help ensure Paid Leave is accessible to all workers across Minnesota. This group brings together union leaders, frontline workers, community partners, and advocates to share feedback and guide outreach strategies. Members help identify barriers, improve communication approaches, and ensure outreach is culturally and linguistically responsive. Advisory Group input helps shape materials, messaging, and outreach efforts so they reflect the real needs of Minnesota’s diverse workforce. By participating, you can help ensure Paid Leave fulfills its promise as a meaningful benefit for all workers. LET US KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST AND IDEAS HERE

MTP staff are available to attend events across Minnesota to share clear, accurate information about the state’s new Paid Leave program. We can table at conferences, trainings, job fairs, union meetings, community events, and other gatherings, speaking directly with attendees as they move through the event. Our team provides printed materials, answers questions, and helps workers and union leaders understand their rights and how to access Paid Leave benefits. We tailor our presence to your audience, ensuring workers in specific industries or occupations receive relevant, practical information. Our goal is to meet workers where they are and make sure every union member and worker in Minnesota knows how Paid Leave can support them and their families.

Minnesota Training Partnership offers Paid Leave presentations for union locals, steward trainings, employer-union labor-management committees, community organizations, and workforce partners statewide. Presentations are available both in person and virtually, and can be delivered to small groups or large audiences. Each presentation is tailored to the needs of your members or staff, with clear explanations of eligibility, qualifying reasons for leave, and how to apply. We can also help coordinate interpretation services and provide translated materials to ensure all workers can fully access and understand the program. These sessions equip union leaders and workers with the knowledge and confidence they need to help others access this important new benefit.

We provide for high-quality Paid Leave outreach materials that unions and partners can distribute directly to their members and communities. These include printed flyers, posters, brochures, digital graphics, social media content, and informational videos designed to explain Paid Leave clearly and effectively. Materials can be customized to specific industries, occupations, or audiences, ensuring workers receive information that reflects their work and experiences. We also provide for materials in multiple languages to ensure broad accessibility for workers across Minnesota. Our goal is to equip union leaders and labor partners with the tools they need to raise awareness and connect workers to this important benefit.

Minnesota Training Partnership (MTP) was founded by leaders from the Minnesota AFL-CIO and remains deeply rooted in Minnesota’s labor movement. We understand union workers, union leadership structures, and the importance of ensuring workers can access the benefits they have fought to secure. Our organization has successfully led statewide outreach initiatives related to Earned Sick and Safe Time and Women’s Economic Security Act programs, reaching thousands of workers. Through this Paid Leave outreach effort, we are committed to ensuring union members and workers across Minnesota have access to accurate information and support. Partnering with MTP means working with a trusted labor-aligned organization dedicated to expanding access, equity, and economic security for all workers.
