Paid Leave went into effect January 1, 2026, providing eligible workers with payments and job protections when they need time away from work to care for themselves or their families.
Minnesota Training Partnership (MTP), in collaboration with the Minnesota AFL-CIO, wants to hear directly from union members about their experiences, impressions, and questions regarding Paid Leave.
Whether you or a family member have already used Paid Leave, or you haven’t needed to use it, your perspective is important. Your responses will help us better understand how Paid Leave is working for Minnesota’s union members, identify questions and information needs, and inform future outreach and education.
MTP will compile the survey results and share them with the Minnesota AFL-CIO to help inform follow-up efforts and better understand the experiences of union members across the state.
If you or a family member have experience applying for or using Paid Leave, we’d like to hear about that experience and how Paid Leave has worked for you.

If you have not applied for or used Paid Leave, we still want to hear from you. Tell us what you know about Paid Leave, what questions you have, and what the program means to you as a union member.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your perspective. Your feedback will help MTP and the Minnesota AFL-CIO better understand how Paid Leave is being experienced by union members and where additional information, education, and outreach may be helpful.
